Water Collecting Cisterns
In 2006, 5 Rotarians and 3 spouses went to Castillo Brito, Campeche, Mexico to help build water collecting cisterns for villagers without a source of water. The Club raised $30,000 from contributions of other Las Vegas Valley Rotary Clubs, matching District 5300 funds and matching Rotary International funds. A total of 19 cisterns were constructed and helped provide over 100 villagers with water for their daily uses. Here are some pictures from that Humanitarian Mission project.
